During this summer I had to move out from my previous workshop. I didn't know where to move all my machines, tools and rocks. My wife had an idea to try to make a workshop out of our balcony. It is a very small balcony but I figure it that it could be made. Lack of space is drawback but if I can manage to make it work everything else is going to be an improvement. All in all I had a very busy summer. Except for the door and windows, everything else I did myself - isolation (thermal and sound), drywalls, paint job, electricity, flooring, workbench, shelfs... So here are the results. Firstly, before I made a mess. My wife insisted on those little lamps. We also had one brocken hand this summer. Still not a mess. Then it started. It is messy but I like it better that way :-) Thanks for looking. Zoran

Good looking set up Zoran. I'm fond of messy too. I like the handy shelves you put beneath the bench. No wasted space there!....Mel

Yup, definetely agree: messy means full throttle activity, which is good Excellent use of space Zoran! You did a great job on all the tasks: carpentry, electricity, walls. I like Tjanna's idea with the light spots, too. Sorry about that broken arm, I hope your daughter fully recovered. Adrian

Very much looks like a shop in action! I love seeing the photographs of wood shops in the magazines that have absolutely no dust anywhere.........I build small boats (wood), and there is just no way I can begin to get the shop clean, or keep it partially clean. Right now, our lapidary shop IS clean, but then we just moved to a different room, and have not had time to get it dirty yet. Woody

When I scrolled from one pic to another what came to mind is: Progression of usefulness.
You did a whole lot with that space. Love the bins on the wall and the desk shelves for your tools and the cover for your saw. Just tons of neat things in there.
I bet you daughter love wearing your jewelry. I hope she is out of that cast soon.

Thank you all. Stasha, my older daughter, is fully recovered. Thank you. Frane, I also hope that she is never going to have a broken anything, for her sake and her parents too. :-) I am also very satisfied with how workshop turned out. I was afraid if everything is going to fit in, and that I am going to be able to enter in workshop and possibly sit in a chair :-). Only compromise I had to make is that I had to get my rocks in the seller. Although, all of my slabs are in the workshop, on the shelves under the workbench. That cover for the saw turned out pretty useful. That saw sprays water a lot, which is not a problem if you have separate workspace for the saw, but when you have to work your silver work next to the saw, on the same bench, it's a problem. That cover completely solved the problem. Zoran
