The laguna is wrapped in soft 22ga square with 22ga half hard half round for binding I used my end of bails for curls. there is still dopping wax on back sorry This montana agate is wrapped in 22ga soft square gf In this one at top I brought all the wire forward made 4 into a curl 4 to the back and bent into the stone. I have seen all clipped short and bent into the stone in front just smooth and also have seen it crossed in front all taken to back half each side and bent into stone on back you only have a binding wire on top. If you can keep them smooth (mine is NOT) it looks cool and looks good with large stone on a string of beads.

That laguna is so sweet Donna, so feminine and delicate. I love the agate too but the laguna keeps drawing me back to it:)

I haven't been on RTH too much recently, but your new wraps are stunning! Great technique with the extra wire to the front. I may have to give the idea a try! Susan

Donna, I thought I had already posted how gorgeous these wraps are. That montana is a beauty and that bail is incredably elegant. I just keep staring at it.

Those are beautiful !~ As a beginner I have a question, you say there is dopping wax on the back, is that a certain type of wax to hold the wire in place until done???

Haleydream the dopping wax is to hold the stone to the stick while cabbing the stone. If you need to hold your wires together while wrapping you can use quilter's tape it isn't too wide and works well, a lot of tape on a roll and it last a long time. But I don't know anything to hold wire to the stone. Donna
