Ok I feel really stupid. I could have sworn that Ken made a knife handle outta this stone a while back, I couldn't find the thread, so I PM'd him.....guess what, he never did! I just wanna know what this stone is! He thought maybe Pietersite? She thought maybe moss agate......so I am still unclear. Looks like something mixed with hematite...

Marie, look at it from many angles in direct sunlight. Is the darker area blue with any schiller? Or is it a metallic grey? The former should indicate Pietersite, the latter Hematite. Jo

Could be Pilbarra Piccaso jasper too from Australia. It's kind of a jasper, hematite mix too and the colors and pattern are very similar.....Mel
