Ha,ha.... That's right, I'm trying to keep up with Randy..... This is what I got done this weekend. I have the same problem as Randy, I can't just keep sitting in one place. lol..... Fist up is another one of the " sediment jasper " cabs from ebay.... I'm trying to make some different hearts before valentine's day.... how's this one? I'm not too thrilled with it.... and the back... Next.... is a neat little picasso jasper, with a simple wrap..... and the back... and last.... is another really pretty "sediment jasper" ( these must be dyed, but boy are they pretty ). The wrap looks really simple, but it is actually pretty complicated. This one uses 4 wires ( insted of my usual 3 ). Can anyone figure out how it's done? And the back... dang it.... I forgot the quarter for scale ..... oh well, these are all about the size of the blue heart and the last magenta one.... Also, these are all wrapped in 20ga sterling silver, with 24ga for the binds.... Chris

Yep, the last one is my fav too. The first one isn't so bad. If there is one thing I've learned it's that you can have 6 different women look at jewelry and they will all have different tastes and your wrap is kind of a very elegant abstract of a heart. Then the color of the stone makes one really get the heart thing. Kind of like the deepest part of the heart. Oh well, sorry, been reading poetry lately, makes me all wordy. LOL. Nice work! Jo

Great wraps as always. I love the simplicity of that second wrap as it really showcases a great pattern. The second is a Wowser. The symetry is perfect and thanks for the extra pics.

Hey Chris, These are amazing. Do you sketch first? Does it just come to you? What's your process and how long do these take for you to complete? I'm a fan ;D Deb

Awesome cabs Chris! I figured out the 2nd one before I saw you asking LOL. I look, then go back and read. I wanted to figure out how you did it because it looks so clean.

These are so very beautiful Chris. You do such a great job on creating your design of stone and wire. Jo I like poetry too and since Chris is making hearts for Valentine's Day hope he wont mind if I post one on this thread. I Wrote Your Name Into My Heart Author: Jason Graham I wrote your name into the sky, But the wind blew it away. I wrote your name into the sand, but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name into my heart, And forever it will stay. If you enclose a card with some romantic sayings with your hearts you will make the men and the ladies very happy Chris:) The men... cause they are panicking and the ladies cause we are suckers for romantic stuff:)

Those wraps are awsome Chris. We like the second one and the last one. The last one has a beautiful configuration for that stone. Debby & Tom

Chris, you come up with some really great styles for your wraps. I love the alternating weave for the last frame effect on that last cab! You did a wonderful job as usual! Great to see your posts again! Fran

Oh, those are beautiful! I love those red stones.
I remember you posting your first wrap. It was very good for a first and you just keep getting better and better.

Thanks again for the suppport everyone....Aparently, my father found a display case, so I am going to put these up for sale this weekend, wish me luck..... nyllynn... A fan?!?! .....I have fans?!?!? ?? .... and to answer your questions. Yes, I do sketch out the design first. I just trace the stone on a pad with a sharpie ( thank you again nancyf), then just sketch lightly with a pencil ( I erase ALOT untill I get something I like. Then I refine the sketch and figure out how to do it in wire.... I guess it dosen't really just come to me, like I said I erase alot. Sometimes I just do what make sense ( circle around a square ), recently I think I have just been trying to make it LOOK simple.... And as for my " process "? uh... I just sit in front of the T.V. and play around.... How long does it take? Well, it depends what on T.V. ;D.... Really, it usually takes 2 to 3 hours to do a wrap.... I mess with a buch of sketches at once.... Hope that helps.... Chris

You are welcome Chris! I really love, love, love the last one the most. I'm sooooo glad I sent you the sketch book and pen/pencils. It was DEFINITELY worth the small effort on my part. Anywho, I had to buy an eraser pen...it is just one long eraser in a pencil form. lol I too erase a lot! ;D
