We just had snow last Friday-Saturday and then it warmed up to 40 for Monday and Tuesday. At least the ground started showing in some spots from the melting but here we go again! The snow started about 10:00 here and it has been steady! The Blizzard should not start until around 6 tonight. I went out about an hour ago when it lightened up a bit to take a few pictures while it still looks pretty. We will see how I feel about it tomorrow! Fran

We get that white pollutant fallout from the skies from December into March and April. Not so easy to hound your rocks now, is it? LOL

Wow, we're getting nothing but rain! All of the snow from last week is gone, nothing here now except mud!

Yeah, the storm rolled through here yesterday ( Friday ).... we have about 5 inches or so ( 2 inches of slush ).... but 5 miles from here in pretty much any direction they got 10 -14" ... we got lucky ..... I feel for anyone near Washington DC, 30" is too much..... I'll try to get some pics later....

BTW Fran, your new house looks so pretty with the snow! Power has been on and off this morning, but luckily is on right now. Woke up to a little snow this AM. Power went out and this is what we were left to do. Angie blazed a trail for us. Even though it got hard to see with near-blizzard conditions. So we set to work clearing the driveway. Rock Snot Man traded in his rock snot and changed into Snow Blower Man! LOL.

Well, I got out this morning around 9:00 and took a few pictures because it had lightened up a bit. Lots of drifts and I tried to get back to areas in the front yard to take the same pictures as the top ones but I couldn't make it. It was up to my hips in some places and I kept falling down and that just made me laugh at myself so I couldn't get out there. Right after I took the pics, the wind picked back up and the snow was coming down harder. David has cleared our driveway about 6 times since we got home from work yesterday and he will have to start all over again in about an hour. The pics from this morning: I don't know if I will make it back out to take more after the latest "dump". They were saying 5-9 more inches for today. Fran

Wow, that's snow!! We never saw that much, and what we got was only on the ground for a couple of days. It snowed again today, but just enough to get the ground white. It'll be all gone by tomorrow. Those are great pics, both VA and PA!

Holy cow! I think you guys might borrow a dog team or two to get around. That picture of Angie made me laugh. Liza has loved the snow this winter!
Donna - good luck tomorrow night. I'm right at the edge of the "really gonna dump on you" and the "glancing blow of 6+ inches".

Love the snow - I was given a nice snowblower last year for shoveling the neighbor's walk (for 20 years). He was gone a lot, he had a snowblower but I never used it. He passed away last year and left the snowblower to me. I also plowed snow for 20+ years and when the plow was running good we got no snow. I get a new snowblower and no snow. Hope your all OK. Lots of good pictures. Thanks Debby & Tom

Well, after three trips out to clear, it was mission accomplished! Then the snow ceased but we still had winds. As soon as we got it done, we got a call for a house showing for this morning !?! We were like, "Don't they know we just had a major storm? And it's Super Bowl Day?" But, we recovered and then totally cleaned the inside of the house, LOL. The sun came out today and melted the roads a bit, we do have some ice to deal with now, but are managing well.
Adrian, I'm in a rockhound deprived funk!
Fran, how did you fare in the aftermath? Jo

So far, so good! I was afraid we would loose power for awhile yesterday because the lights would flicker but it all stayed on so we are doing good. We went out today and dug my son's car out. It was the only thing we didn't get finished yesterday before we were just too tired to do more. Here are some pics from yesterday evening. The first is taken from my front doorstep looking at the areas that I fell down in. The sun was out just a little and it was great! The path we dug at the back of our house My son's car at the end of the parking pad My husband at the end of the drive with the snow blower. Looks like all the schools are closed in the area tomorrow so it should be quiet at work. Fran
