Hey guys...... I did a few wraps this week..... here's the first ( I still need to upload the rest ) This is another ( are you guys getting sick of these yet? ) sediment jasper cab..... wrapped in silver as usual.... here's a real good shot of the bail... and the back... I remembered the quarter again!!! As you can see the only thing holding the stone in is the " ribbon " wrapped around the corners. I started just making a frame (like Randy's tutorial, but nothing holding the front of the stone ), then the bail. At that point the stone would just fall right out. Then I bent the 4 wires from the bail around the stone to hold it in. I did have to plan the back out a little, just to make sure I had wires to tie the " ribbon " to.... (Wow, I guess it's kind of like naturenut's freeform wraps, only with a frame and binds holding it together..... O.K., fine... it's nothing like naturenut's freeform wraps ) Anyway.... I'll post a couple more later...... Thanks much, Chris

LOL, yes it is Chris! You are holding it in at two opposite points along with the sides. Whatever you call it, it is wonderful!!!!! Jo

You do some of the cleanest work on here, are you doing the cabs as well? Where do you get the sediment jasper? Up until you started posting, I had never seen it before. That's some really cool stuff! Awesome job on the wrap, it suits the cab perfectly

Nice cab and wrap. The only thing I would have changed (if I could wrap) is moving the one white area to a corner where the wrap isn't covering it up. All the other corners are purple, so no big deal if two are covered up. Just an opinion - great work though.

Toad.... Gee,thanks for noticing . I was planning on doing it that way ( covering the two purple corners ), but somehow it ended up like that... LoL.... just after I finished the last bind on the back I flipped it over and..... oops.... but I wasn't even about to fix it .....

Yep, once it is done there is no point tearing it apart. Great work regardless.

I don't see too many square wrapped cabs. Boy is that a beauty. I love the pattern in that stone, it looks like a mountain with flowing water. A very beautiful wrap design for a very dramatic stone.

That is a very cool looking wrap. I've never seen a square one either. I have looked at that pic several times and I still can't figure out how you did it...lol. Way out of my league at the beginner's table...lol.
