Tony: Those pics are super, LOL. You and Chris made the trip so fun, you are the neatest couple, I am going to work on getting as tough as Chris by next trip, tell her I will wash my hair in that hose outside next year, LOL. What a blast, memories that will last a long time!

RANDY: The building that the trucks are housed in actually was one of the original buildings from the Hoover Damn construction site, brought over and reconstructed here at Bagdad in the early 70's. The concrete floor is I believe they said 14" thick?? The building was huge, what was neater was the crane used to lift the tires to change them, LOL. I really enjoyed the mine tour, usually after 3 hours I would be freaking out, but it was so massive the operation and equipment, it was truly fasinating.

I think you're right Amber, the guy said 14" thick on the concrete. I enjoyed the mine tour too but didn't know Ralph was radioactive, gee they just told me he was trying out a new fashion statement....lol. Seriously those are great pics Tony.
I too remember something about racing and paper bags mentioned by Jaime....hmmmm.
Amber, I can just picture you washing your hair with the hose.....Not.....LOL. How about trying two days without a shower first? LOL.

They made Ralph wear pants on that tour? So he wouldn't scrape his knee if he fell? Or? Did you guys have to sign away your life before you were allowed on the property?

Here's a few more photos. I found these in a little cave in a cliff. Any idea what this is or how it formed? The biggest boulder being loaded into Tony's truck. For Woody, the only wildflower I saw blooming although the desert was very green. My favorite pic of the upper creek, a serpentine boulder shot through with white quartz veins. The load in the pickup from the first day. Amber (bejewelme) and Dorothy (silverlass). Uh Chris, what's with the pose? lol This is Don's (cowboy) sluice box looking for gold in the black sand Tony and Chris collected. Sherri can you please explain what you are doing here? Or is this one of those stories that has to stay in Burro Creek? ;D Our hosts, Mary Ann and Ralph (stonesthatrock) let us stay in their RV. Not only did they let us stay they gave us their bedroom and they slept on the sofa. Thanks guys you two are great! I'll post the copper mine pics over the weekend.

apparently no one is interested in seeing more pics as the views of this thread have not gone up. Guess I won't bother posting them.

Tony, We're interested! Post more pics, you got some way better shots than I did. Maybe start a new thread with the mine tour pics that way they won't be buried on this one. I can't seem to get my pics to load up on Photobucket but will keep trying. Oh goodness, that pic of Sheri is priceless....LOL. I wonder what Chris' pose was too...lol. I think Amber and Dorothy were the bopsy twins...lol. Thank you for posting the pics.
