Howdy folks, Spent about three hours this morning going through decorative gravel from the quarry at Eagle Pass, Texas. Man, this stuff is crazy fun to look through but it's so difficult to spot these agates. I was actually sitting on one of these because without being chipped or wet it looked like a nothing. I'll post more pics later as the battery in my camera conked out and I'm recharging right now. Really finding some big stuff this time and it's so cool because everything is stream polished and all the junk is worn off. Here are a few pics. Big ole orbicular jasper piece in deep reds and oranges. I loves the orby stuff! Closer shot of the other side: Big and very solid Rio Grande golden moss And another: This one's almost ten pounds and is red and gold moss in whorls. Really nice solid Devil's Toenails. I'm keeping these for slabbing for myself instead of my wife stealing them for her garden *L*

Ten-pound gravel, Mel?? Oh yeah, that's right . . . you moved to Texas. Nice stuff. You could be slabbin' some while that battery recharges!

Nice find. Wish we had a gravel yard with something besides limestone. Love the Rio Grande moss. Nice colors. Ken

Great stuff. I wonder if I could get some landscaping company to deliver a ton of flint ridge gravel to my place for a couple hundred...?

Very cool Mel. I really like the red/gold swirly stuff.
Toad, give 'em a call. It doesn't cost anything to get a quote.

Wow, that's some nice decorative gravel! Glad you are getting it so it can be cut, polished, and appreciated for more than just gravel.
