I came across this forum last night while just snooping the web. After reading quite few of the posts, I realized what I have been missing over the years. Growing up in Idaho I learned to love to see what God had put inside those ugly rocks and soon discovered that His finest handiwork is on display, but only for those looking. I have most of the equipment needed to start back up again but had lost interest because of the roads that life has taken me down. But after reading the post of other art lovers and seeing the pictures of Gods handiwork, I believe I am going to start on the road to recovery. I guess I'll dig out my saws and tumbler and paw through my pile of rough and see what I can do with it. I once considered myself a hardcore rock hound, but in my present state, I think I'll just call myself a pebble pup. So please be patient with me, because I think I've forgotten more that I ever knew, and will have questions for the experienced ones out there. Thanks for the site.

Glad you have decided to take the road to recovery. I feel the same way about God's handiwork. Welcome and God bless.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I have slowly started the clearing out of stuff from in front of my saw. Hopefully before to long I'll have something to show for it. As far as pulling out my cabbing machine, that will have to wait. Once more, thanks again.

It is great to have you on board! I have a feeling that once you get started, it is just like riding a bike. It will all come back to you and what you have forgotten, well, just ask. There are enough folks here that are wonderful at sharing their knowledge and tips! Fran
