I am back home where there is an abundance of flint. Gray, black, red-brown, tan in color. Large, medium and small in size. It's everywhere! Haven't found any arrowheads though.
Any suggestions on what I can do with it? Can it be tumbled?

Heck yes you can tumble it. The quality can range from very grainy to super glossy. Try and stay away from the low quality grainy stuff. The better stuff will polish really nice llanago, I tumble a mess of flint and most all of it is beautiful polished up. Give it a try, I bet you will be impressed with it. Here are a couple pieces of flint from Ohio. I just pulled these out to take this pic. They have only been in final polish for 2 days and you can see the shine starting to develope nicely. Also, see if you notice the image in the piece on the left. To me it looks like a gangster duck in a trench coat. OK, that may be a stretch, but I often see wild images in a lot of the flint and jasper I polish. I guess I should probably see someone about this.. Naw, life wouldn't be as much fun. Well, good luck with the flint if you try it, ttyl, Don

Those are beautiful!
I found a partcularly pretty piece about the size of a quarter. It's kind of a pinkish-tan color. I think it will be really pretty polished.
As soon as I get the extra barrels I ordered, I think iI will start a batch.
I may never get around to tumbling any of the rough I bought - too busy tumbling the stuff I have found. Must be time to build me a big ole tumbler!
