Does anyone on here collect rocks that resemble faces, animals or scenes ? I call this one The Old Man of the Desert. My wife found this one while we were collecting chalcedony roses in the Mojave Desert, north of old U.S. Rt 66, west of the town of Ludlow. If anyone else has pics of unusual rocks, post them below. Don

Don: Since you are newer on here you may have missed me and Weeshan who like to collect not exactly faces, but rather more x-rated rocks, LOL! We havn't found any for while, will have to work on that! LOL

I have a couple. Here they both are: This one I was going to cab at halloween but it is really soft. I have coated it with superglue. I am hopeful that it will help it when I cab it. This one I still have a little flat spot but I am still in the shaping phase of cabbing it. Kind of looks like a guy with a hat. I am always finding faces in rocks. Sometimes they go away when cabbing and other times, they get stronger. Fran

Wow, those are great ones Fran! I found this one on the back of a Petrified Palm Root cab. Close up. Kinda weird. Jo

I posted this one on the wire wrapping thread but figured it would go well with this post too. I saw a cow with a halter but have been told it looks like Winnie the Pooh. This one looked like an eye staring at me (Montana Wonderstone (rhyolite) A chrysanthemum - ok so this one is a cheater since it's called Chrysanthemum stone. And I just can't resist posting this - not a rock but cute just the same IMHO: This happy guy turned up in a section of pine tree we were cutting down - I work for a tree trimmer who thought I was nuts until he saw the smiley face too.
