It is wet. Most of our local rock will polish.

The green looks like it could be serpentine, but i've never seen included serpentine like that. Don

We have alot of real interesting rocks here in Saskatchewan. The geological history here is really interesting.

This is great stuff Brent. How hard is it? Serpentine is interesting stuff in how it interacts with other rocks, we see some cool stuff here because of that. Jo

If I had to guess at the hardness, I would guess 6.5-7.

Here is a cab of this material. The inclusions are alot harder than the surrounding material.
