Well I haven't been wrapping too much lately, but here are a few pieces I've done this month. This first one is a Mother Daughter set I wrapped for a friend who just became an Uncle and gave them to his sister as a gift. I was told they're probably Chilean Lapis, anyone have other opinions? This I think is a piece of Snowflake Obsidian, not sure what else it could be. And a piece of red Jasper What do you guys think? - Krista

They are all beautiful but the mother/daughter wraps are really special and I know they will become treasured heirlooms.

They all are good, but there is something about the Lapis pair. Those are really elegant. Karock

All of those are nice. The one you say might be snowflake obsidian just doesn't look right to me for snowflake obsidian, don't know what it could be and I could be wrong.

Thanks everyone drocknut - I know right? The light splotches aren't grey enough or splotchy enough right? But I don't know what else it could be though.... I suck at the identifying stones thing lol.

I'm not that good at identification myself but it just seems like the light splotches aren't shaped in the right way (snowflake shaped). I could be wrong, though, it has been known to happen...lol It might be some kind of onyx or obsidian with mica inclusions, hard to say. Sorry I can't be of more help. Aww, heck let's call it snowflake obsidian and call it good. :-)

That's kind of how I feel about most things, say I think it's something until someone tells me otherwise
