Here are some pictures I took on my latest rock hounding expedition. It turned out really good. These rocks are from southern California. It took 2 days to gather these specimens. Talk about a score! This is a 150 lb bolder of Inyokern Flame agate. Here's a close up of it. Have you ever seen such a huge Nodule? Here's were I found it. I then had to roll it through the soft rocky soil back to my car. It took 45 minutes! Here's a pic of the long walk ahead... Here's a picture of the second site; Sheep Springs. The white spot on the mountain is the collecting site. Dentritic and moss agate can be found here as well as a wonderful blue and white moss Opalite. Here are some specimens from both localities. Here's a close up of some opalized dentritic agate from Sheep Springs.
