I got from you is some really pretty material. I had no idea that it would be semi-transparent. And, that technique we talked about, where you told me that trying a piece of agate to clean the belt seems to help a bunch on getting a better, smoother finish on the obsidian. That seems to help reduce, and even eliminate those scratches that was showing up on the material. For everyone else, what I am referring to is a condition where, apparently some pieces of obsid would flake off, embed in the belt, and scratch the heck out of the stone. Rubbing a smoothed piece of hard material on the belt gets rid of those bits. AS you can see in these pics. Oh yea, I think this is mahogany obsidian, maybe. Regardless, it is pretty stuff! And, this custom shape was very tricky to get wrapped, especially since I am still very much a rookie. I am still experimenting on the picture taking also. I am thinking about getting one of those white cube things, can't recall what they are called. Anyhow, here it is: Side view: Another shot, a little underexposed, That bottom tip buggered up a little, but, all in all, I am very pleased with this piece. What do ya'll think of it? Thanks; Mike

Beautiful. I would never have thought of that bottom tip being buggered up, looks good to me. Those different shapes are fun to wrap but can be a challenge. Your pictures look good to me. Remember we are our own worst critics

Gorgeous pendant, that flowing pattern in the obsidian is fantastic. Great shine, thank you for the hint.
