Gem Trees

At our last show I traded a guy some rocks for little rock crystals because I really wanted a gem tree. Well at the next show Tony found a book on them for $2 and finally made me a tree or 2, LOL. I never saw him work so long on these trees, last Sunday he wrapped trees all day! I love these, they are so cute I can't pick a favorite! Tony is the best!







I think I can talk him into a few more, which ones do you guys like?

Those are the only Bansi Trees that I could ever keep alive. You could market them as "Tony Trees". He could polish some little jade chips to make leafs and then some tiny garnets for a apple or two.

I think my favorites are the weeping willow and the last one. Something about the contrast top with the base stone really looks great!

Every single one is my favorite. I really mean that. Tony did a beautiful job and it looks like you got your 2.00 worth from that instruction book.

They look like mini's, how tall are they? I have some teeny tiny polished shells that Jamie sent me and seeing these makes me think they would be perfect for a little tree.

Wow, Tony needs to take a bow, he did a fantastic job. I don't know that I'd have the patience to do that even if it was for someone special.
The first one has great colors, the second has a cool shape and I like the roots wrapping around the stone base, the third has nice "roots" and colors remind me of fall, the fourth is pretty with the amethyst and silver combo (thought you'd like that one best Amber), the fifth (weeping willow) is elegant although I don't know if I personally like the wire color, and the last one looks like a gnarly old tree with a flower on top, interesting. I'd say I like number one the best.

Tony is certainly talented and a great guy to boot! If you get him to do more please do post pictures I'd love to see them.

Thanks all. I really just did these on a whim for Amber. The weeping one took me about 6 hours due to the added time to wrap the trunk but the others took only an hour or so. I'm not fond of that gold colored wire but wanted to give it a try. The last one is brown wire with copper for the flower. I made that one for my daughter. Now that I've got the general idea of how they work, I'll start trying some of my own designs.
