Hey folks, We went to Yellowstone National Park for two weeks and spend another week in Montana. Here are some pictures that we took. Fairy Falls Prismatic Spring. We went up on a hill near Fairy Falls to take a picture of it. Check out this grizzly. His right ear is gone and the side of his face is bitten. Must've gotten into one heck of a fight. According the YNP officials this is the third time in park history that a grizzly sow has had four cubs This is the momma. Aren't we cute? Gots to get where we're gettin'. One last look. Black (cinnamon brown) bears resting and playing on tree. Cub chasing away a raven that got on his branch. Sunset at 7 Ranch near Hardin, Montana. Condor

How cool, we didn't spot any bear last summer when we were in Yellowstone. You've seen a lot and captured fantastic pictures of them. Were you the first car in the row when you pictured that first bear? 'Cause I refuse to think you got down from the car. Amazing photo of Grand Prismatic! Adrian

NDK, we didn't find or even look for rocks being that it's a national park and would be illegal to collect them. We did see lots and lots of obsidian. Adrian, that picture of the grizzly was taken from inside the car. He was just a few feet from it. All total in the two weeks we spent there at Yellowstone we saw a total of twenty-two bears.

Oh, those are such beautiful pictures! That was a tough old bear in that one! That poor mom bear! 4 of those cubs! Wow! Thanks for taking us along! Fran

These pics are incredible! You were so lucky to have been chased off by that unsocial person so that you just happened to be in the right place at the right time! Perfect synchronicity! Jo

Great shots Gil. Gotta say I wouldn't be too comfortable getting that close to a grizzly. I give the black bears hear a wide berth unless I'm inside looking at them.
