Well, since every one else around here seems to share their stuff, I figured I'd start doing so as well. I present the batch I pulled from polish on 6/26 - better late than never I guess. Apparently I need to spend a little time figuring out how to photograph these things. I'm an amateur photographer, but it was hot outside and I was roasting as is! They really are shiny, but the photos don't reflect that as well as they could. I'll try some other time on a new batch here in a few weeks and get it down. This was my most successful mixed batch yet. I attribute it's success to a fairly recently added hardness test kit that has highly increased my hardness accuracy as well as the addition of the 1000AO step. I got about 98% of the rocks to take a polish, more than 20% more than I ever have previously. Even the granite turned out perfectly, something I've had difficulty with. Here's the process I used: 60/60 until smooth and ready 10 days 120/220 SiC 7 days 500 SiC 7 days 1000AO 15 days CO Polish And on with the pix! Thanks for looking!

Goodonya mate, you have some beautiful rocks , looks like your getting a pretty good shine on most of them. I like the green triangle in the first pic best , your pics are pretty good. Keep em coming...ppork

The shine doesn't come through in the pics, but the rocks still look good. Nice variety - they look well cared for.

I think they look great! I have noticed that it is harder to get a good pic of the shine on quartz stuff. Not sure why but seems to be how it is, at least for me. You sure rounded them nicely! I have a problem getting to that point sometimes. Just too impatient I guess. Fran
