Did this one in silver, however I noticed that in the front the wire spiral is scratching it! What can I do about that? Is it that the malachite is just that soft or do I need to file or smooth out the metal underneath? I do believe this is some kind of pet wood. It's one of the tumbled rocks my dad sent to me. I used copper for this one & gave myself plenty of extra wire to practice on. It's a good thing I did because I need extra curlies & stuff to secure it in there. The back Thanks for looking - Donnie

Malachite is very soft (beautiful stone). Can you raise the spiral off the stone? Or will that ruin the design?

These are very nice Donnie! I really like malachite, but that pet wood really catches my eye tonight.

Donnie, I think you have done a great job on the wraps! I am not sure I like all the swirls on the Malachite though. That is just a personal opinion with that stone. I thing your swirls really work with the possible pet wood though. Almost gives it an "under the sea" feel. Keep up the great work! Fran

Thank you Fran I do appreciate your opinion. I am always open to feedback from other people especially from someone who does as good a job as you do. I am, after all still learning. I think I understand what you mean because the malachite is such a pretty stone a clean look is best.
