I haven't posted pictures in a while. I took some of a few of my latest wraps and finally got them uploaded so here there are... This is a banded agate cab from Randy wrapped in sterling silver. I nicknamed this "Amber Waves of Agate". Porcelain jasper wrapped in sterling silver with sterling silver beads. Another of Randy's wonderful cabs. Pink Opal earrings (silver plated wire) Possibly moss agate or some kind of jade (which was what the guy who made this cab said it was) wrapped in sterling silver. Long story involved with the cab but the short version is that a guy in our rock club was teaching how to make cabs but ended up finishing it for me because he got impatient with how slow I was working. I haven't cabbed since, mostly because of lack of equipment and space. So basically this is the first and only cab I've ever made. Well, thanks for looking everyone. Let me know what you think. Diane

Beautiful wraps Diane. I love your cab too. Sounds like the instructor needs a chill pill. Patients (as we all know) is first and foremost in this hobby. Please don't be discouraged by him.

Thank you all. I do hope to be able to cab in the future but for now I'm happy wrapping all the beautiful cabs I've gotten from members here.

I really like how you did the wrap on the last one, especially how the stone is held in place. I may have to try my hand at that way of doing it, if thas' ok.

They are really looking cool! I suspect that last one is a beautiful moss and I like how you didn't cover it up to much with the wrap so it is all complimentary. The one that Randy sent you is very pretty. I normally don't like beads but that is so complementary to the stone it looks perfect there! Great job. Diane, never get discouraged with cabbing! If the guy teaching you to cab got impatient, just remember. He said it was jade....You said moss. I think you can learn to cab and love it so don't put it on the back burner for long. Just get someone else to show you. Fran

The Porcelain Jasper is just Elegant. You better keep the cab you made, it will always be special in that regard, even if the other dude finished it. Karock
