Well, it's been a long work in progress, but I finally have my business web-site up and running. Right now I'm just selling cabs, but will eventually add slabs and rough. I decided not to use eBay, but to sell exclusively on my own site. Check it out and let me know what you think.. www.caution-rocks.com/

Oh Yeah! Looks real good! I did, however have to hunt for those little words that say "Cabochons for Sale". Took me a minute to find out how to get in there so I could look at your cabs. Got some beauties in there! I will be keeping my eyes open for your slabs & rough! Donnie

Every time I look at your cabs I feel like I am entering a tiny little kingdom of fantasy land! The two on the front certainly furthered this feeling. I am with Donnie, though, it took me a few minutes to find the "cabs for sale" location.
But your site is unusual, dramatic, and I enjoyed it.

Dan: I think it looks great I had no problem finding the for sale button, I think you priced the cabs well too based on rarity of the stone, etc. Looking forward to more additions, and good luck! Amber

Congrats, Dan!
The two cabochons which are pictured in the home page are gorgeous. But maybe you might select only one of them or shrink both, such as there won't be needed to scroll down to reach the menu bar at the bottom of the page. Besides, those two cabs right next to the words "cabochons for sale" could be a bit confusing. At least they were to me, giving me some desert hopes while trying to click on each to find more like the price, etc.
Great pictures and clear data of the cabochons for sale, I'm looking forward to see the other sections too.

Dan,
Looks great.
I like the one image on the home page. It centers the viewer's attention and with the quality of your work, it should draw him/her into your site hoping to see similar high quality pieces for sale.
I like the information that you provide when each image is enlarged. The measurements are great, such as the size and the weight, but I also appreciated that you were up front with anything that lowers the overall perfection of the piece.
The photos are all gorgeous and uniform.
What are you doing to have your site captured by search engines? Is it only being hit by people via links on other websites, or do you have your site appearing under 'cabachon for sale' etc when people browse on yahoo and google?
One comment, I love your title banner (saying Caution Rocks), but when I try to move it over to the Agate Database, it stays very small and when I try to make it larger, it becomes all fuzzy. As it is now, the font at the bottom is really hard to read. Your other banner with all the rock images is incredibly colorful and eye-catching, but has no identifying mark on it. I don't know if this bothers you or not. If I may, I'd like to superimpose your white Caution Rocks title on your website over your "Rock Tile" banner so it combines your name and that great mosaic, or I can wait if you decide to create a larger version of your Caution Rocks! sign.
Good luck with your revised endeavor. I wish you the best of luck.

Lowell, feel free to edit any of the images for the database. We're working on a new Title image with a New Mexico background.
Editing the web-site is pretty frustrating, it is a work in progress. Many of the buttons are stock images and changing the font/font size is a pain. We're also working on directing traffic to the site.
