Hmm. First one stumps me. Second looks like gneiss or maybe shist with biotite mica. Last one is definitely garnet in matrix....Mel

Any idea where # 1 came from ? If the color is correct in your pic, it looks like it could be lepidolite with other material mixed in. I have some lepidolite from the Stuart Lithia Mine in Cal that looks about the same. Don

Yep, after seeing Don's post, I looked at some stuff in my collection and that appears to be pink tourmaline in lepidolite. Make sure if you cut that one don't cut in oil coolant as I've been told it will stain rather badly.....Mel

Thanks fellas. Yeah Don the colors are pretty much spot on, kind of a pale pastel thing going on. Thanks for the heads up on cutting it with oil Mel, I can see how it would be prone to getting stained.

Iam not great at id"s but the second one looks a little like picasso marble...but dont take my word on it ...
