I am getting a new (to me) vibra sonic tumbler, and will likely look to sell my Gy-Roc Model A. (For now I will keep the Model B).
It is old and one leg wobbles a bit. I paid $130 on ebay a few year ago, and have an extra used bowl to go with it. I would likely sell it for $75 or less. If you are in Lawrence/Kansas City area and can pick it up, I would sell for less to avoid the hassle of boxing it up.)
Just trying to see if there is any interest or questions. I might list it on ebay with a starting bid of $80 if nobody here is interested. Would consider selling it lower here because it is old, but will just keep it or give it to my friend if the offers are too low.
Will also consider partial trade for rock if you have something I want. PM with ideas.

Ok, I think there is a deal in place, and possibly a backup offer, so thats it for now. I will let yall know if it becomes available again. Here is a pic from when it was set up in Pennsylvania in 2006. The bowl on it is now the spare bowl, which I reconditioned with epoxy. The new bowl now has some use/scratches on it too, but is not wearing thin anywhere I can tell. It spent most of 2008 in a box and I have run about 3 or 4 batches this spring. The lid is original, so it is getting a little frayed. John at jsgems sells parts. I just put a new belt (o-ring really) on it and lubed the center shaft. The shaded red area is where the leg is loose. I think a new bolt or brace could be introduced, but since I always make a wood frame to keep the legs from walking around, it has never been worth fussing with. Tonight I wil get a picture of it set up for the folks who sent me a PM about buying it, and I guess I will add that pic here too. One of the springs/clamps comes off easily when I open the lid. I think the bottom loop got stretched and some time with a pliers would fix it. It is also a pretty standard spring, and Mama's Minerals sells the spring and associated clip for $2.85 ( mamasminerals.com/categories/Equipment-%26-Tools/Vibratory-Tumblers/Vibratory-Tumbler-Accessories/) For some reason, this is the one part John does not sell. It is a sweet machine, but I am excited about getting the used VT-8 I found. I am glad it looks like someone here is going to get it at a good price and I won't have to fuss with ebay.

Ok, here it is, as of 11-Aug, with the last load and borax still in it. Of course it will be empied and cleaned. The model-B on the left, with 3 stackable bowls, may be up for sale later in the year. Depends on how well my mini-sonic and vibra-sonic work out for me, and how much money I sopend at the Denver rock show.
