HI, i'm back.
heres a few pictures of what some vendors had at the show in Buena Vista
Look at this picture of a HUGE petrified tree. They were selling some pieces from it. The largest piece was $4000, I was tempted to get it for Adrinan, but........... shipping was way too high ;D
some stuff from Michigan, some of you may know what it is...
One momba jombo piece of tiffiany slab......... Nice piece and price.
A beautiful cab of the tiffiany stone, check out the tree....... Only if i had an extra $300 i didn't know what to do with...
Our neighbors had Indian artifacts and some specimens of arrowheads etc.
What i thought was very interesting is the beaded Umbilical Cord Fetish in the case. The Indians would put the umbilical cord in there after the baby was born, to keep away the evil spirits. There more but you can do a search.. interesting.
the neighbor on our other side made jewelry.... Check out these bracelets..... They weigh 1/2 lb. Yes I said 1/2 lb of silver....... If i had that on I wouldn't be able to lift my arm.. Or i would be built like Mr. Olympia.. ;D
Yes lots of turquoise from every mine..... Some very pretty. Funny story: As I was taking these pics there was a young girl around mid twenties picking several cabochons. Now when she started the people told her they were $.50 - $.60 a GRAM, she continued to chose more...... ok you all know where i'm going with this............ ;D ;D ;D
Yes the girl put them all back when she realized it wasn't $.50 each.. lmao
some misc. things....... pretty rock, paintings, fluorescents, and of course equipment.....
Ralph selling his wears........ Notice, no handcuffs...
One more story and then I will be done...... While we were in Colorado we did have a few storms come threw. The good part is the only last 45 mins. or so and then the sun comes out and you would never know it rained...........
Well your neighbors with the specimens, etc. Every time a storm came up they would load the all their stuff into the car, then 45 mins later, take it out........ then the next storm came in and oops, they would load it all up again. They did this 3 times in one day... They were good people and enjoyed us laughing at them every time.
Thats it for now folks......
