Wrapped another of my "special order" rose quartz cabs tonight. Did this one in 21ga. sterling, DS square and HH 1/2-round. I might want to do it over after I think about it some more - I cut the wires a bit shorter than I intended, and didn't have much left over for swirlies. I see I also need to straighten up the bail - I musta been drunk or somethin! ;D Hope y'all like it! The cab is 1.5" tall and 1.2" wide. Thanks for looking! Tom

After a few of my own "to shorts", now I tend to over compensate and end up wasting wire.

I have found it is far easier to cut off excess than it is to stretch out some extra length. lol!! I tend to put on a bit too much wire also. I have astigmatism in my eyes, so, sometimes it can be a bit hard to see if it all looks "right". Kinda depends on how I look at it sometimes. What looked right yesterday don't always look so good today! Yours looks pretty good. Just needs a little adjustng. Good job!

Tom, that looks pretty good! I little tug here & there will straighten it right out & she'll be good to go. I agree that its better to too much than be caught short. I haven't done a lot of wraps yet but I sure have been caught short quite a few times. Last one I did I had way to much wire left over!

Yep, it's always easier to cut off the excess than to try to make do with not enuf. You'd think that after the 100's of wraps I've done in the last year or so, I'd have learned that by now, wouldn't you? ;D

That looks really good just as it is. Sometimes the design doesn't come out the way I had envisioned it, but I like it even better. The camera does show every flaw. The camera even makes up flaws that aren't really there. Sometimes my bails will photograph crooked but they aren't. Just depends on the camera angle sometimes.
