This is my first wrap made from a rock I found, slabbed and cabbed myself. The cabochon has a ridge in it, I messed up the bail trying to "weave" it, and doubtless there are countless other things that I would change if I could. BUT, I've done about a dozen wire wraps now, and this was cabochon (I think) #5. My list of "don't do's" is growing faster than my list of "do's", but as long as they both grow, that's okay! [[ ] Soooo much help from this Board! Woodyrock pointed me to the place where I found the "Mother Rock," Connrock has patiently tried to explain my ancient equipment to me, Bikerrandy's tutorial and the Many beautiful cabs and wraps displayed here have been a tremendous help. I will post a "thanks to all" later, so will stop for now! Thanks for joining my little celebration-- Susan

Nice looking wrap, except for the bail I think it is a nice enough to spend a little time to straighten the bail a little. I think if you put a small metal rod throug the bail you could fix it. You are doing a great job. Donna

Thank you, Donna, your idea worked, with the help of a small piece of dowel. It didn't look quite as disheveled in person as it does in the photo, but the straightening is still a huge improvement.

Well, you're off to a good start! There's nothing like hands on experience & the more you do it the better you will get!

That looks good. Every one you make will be better than the last. Before you know it, you will be completely addicted to your new artform.

That is a great one to start with and you developed it from the moment you found it. That makes it even more fun! Keep up the great work! Fran

That's a great first wrap! Practice, practice, practice!!! You've got the knack for sure (not everyone does), that's a clean wrap with a clean design.
