re: "Thanks for coming along" .....
Thanks for inviting us and taking us with you! Your camera is allowing me to explore vicariously areas that I'll not likely have an opportunity to explore in person.
Thanks!

Cool pics. Boy they misidentified those fossil bird tracks. That's classic Chicken Track Picture Jasper from Oregon and those are probably just fossil mud cracks. Loved seeing the Manhatten Mine specimens. The overburden from that old mine used to have some really fine lace agate too.....Mel

I thought the crab was cool too and when I saw the Myrickite, I knew I had to take pics and post. So funny, because we absolutely stumbled onto (into?) this museum, and thought it was gonna be all about wine making, but were delighted to see it was about rocks too and how the minerals make the soil so special. Nice catch on the chicken tracks Mel! Thanks everybody, so glad you enjoyed it!

Fran... well, we might have gone and done some tours, and possibly a little wine tasting, but...
Billy tripped over some roots that belonged to a giant Redwood a couple days ago and landed on his face and now his back has been in spasms, so you all got shafted with a tour by car and one walk into a museum, LOL. It's getting a little better today, he's got some heat on it now.
