I have two more boxes that I would like to offer for swap. Both items are in medium sized flat rate shipping boxes and can be shipped anywhere in the United States at a cost to me for $11.40 for shipping/delivery confirmation. Since I am trying to make space, I *don't* need to get back a box the same size. In fact, I would prefer to get back a smaller box, so your shipping costs should be cheaper. I'm thinking I would like to get back a finished cab or two, tumbled stones, or even a stone marble back in exchange. Nothing fancy or expensive, because this stuff sure isn't fancy or expensive. If you send tumbled stones, one item I'd like which a lot of people might have, is very smooth polished rose quartz tumbles. But I'm open to your ideas.
Also, when you suggest a swap, remind me of which of the two boxes you're interested in. Thanks for looking.
Box # 1: 10 pounds of "Z" Grade Miller Mountain, Arkansas Quartz Crystal clusters
I called it "gem tree" grade, because I used to use these guys as a base for making gem trees. Well, I no longer make gem trees, so I won't be using these. Also, some of them are really too small for gem trees, unless you make really tiny ones. The quartz clusters are dirty, have chipped or broken tips, or are otherwise just not that great for display pieces. They definitely need to be cleaned. They might need to be trimmed, polished, or what have you. Some specimens might be OK as cheap school specimens. We dug these items in 1993, and the best stuff was high-graded long ago, so don't expect too much. But if you can find a use for these crystals, I would be happy to pass them on. I don't expect anything real fancy in exchange, let me know what you'd like to swap. I'm still looking for a crazy lace cab with some red and/or orange in it, if you happen to have something like that.
I'll try to put a close-up of some of the crystals so you'll get a better idea:
Box # 2: "Green Stuff" Box -- 15#
OK, this one is a little embarrassing. I have 15 pounds of green (or maybe if you use your imagination some kind of greeny-blue but to me it all looks green) rough material. I really don't know what the heck it is, and I'm pretty sure that it isn't all the same type of material. It's just cutting rough that I somehow acquired that I can't really identify and don't really feel much attraction to. I'm told some of it is probably green Amazonite, the feldspar. I've heard a type of green Quartz called Amazonite but this is almost certainly NOT a quartz. I remember struggling a little to get the final polish on a piece I cabbed years ago but don't recall any real details about it. What I'm saying is, don't expect too much, I don't want to "oversell" this material.
