Been messing around with my camera, trying out new ideas for taking photos of my "stuff". My wife has this quartz crystal that she obtained as a child in Germany (she is an Army brat... her father is retired colonel). Hmmm... some side lighting, a black background, and several adjustments to the exposure! Bill

Beautiful cab and setting. I have been using a crystal background for a while now. It seems to work no matter what stone i am photographing. However yours came out clearer than mine do. Very nice wrap and stone. Very clean and perfect.

Beautiful stone, wrap, and photo. I still have trouble with background stones stealing the thunder of the show piece. Especially in this case where the colors are very close - I think you are losing some umph! That said, your photography skills far surpass mine, so take it as a grain of salt.

I like the fact that you have both black and white in the photo, I think they help bring out the colors in the stone. However, while the lighting is generally very good, I think that the hot spots (the whitest areas) at the tips of the crystal are calling for too much attention. You might try a gobo that shades that part of the crystal from direct light.
Beautiful stone and wrap!

That cab and wrap is just beautiful. I love the white on white effect. You did a great job. Tanya

I usually like a contrasting background to really make the photo subject pop, but this looks nice. It's a wonderful wrap on a gorgeous cab.

Great pictures The black background is always best for silver to make it pop. Ed
