I tried to weave the wire. Superioragates is right it is easier with the wires on the rock. I found a small crochet hook helps too, sometimes I just can't grab it with my fingers, so I pull it through with the crochet hook. I used 20g round, 22g half round for the wraps and 26g round for the weaves. all copper. This one looks great in person, but blown up like this I can see every crooked wire, which looks to be most of them. I should just post smaller pictues. The stone is Sedona red rock. This one actually took a good polish. This is a brown Onyx wrapped in 22g 12K gold filled. This one is wrapped in 22g Argentium silver. I don't remember what the stone is. It looks very much like some turquoise in it. I don't think so though, my friend gave me a fairly large chunk of it. He's awfully generous if it is turquoise. Thanks for lookin. Amy

Love that Brown Onyx. Great job. I don't think I could tackle that weaving.

Way to go! I'm not even thinking about trying it yet. This was a more than admirable first attempt, and as usual, all your wraps are beautiful. Susan

You are very brave! I have not tried the weave and I don't think I will. Might have to add my fingers to the wrap and just leave them there the way I get tangled up sometimes! Your second one is my favorite. Very elegant! Fran
