Haven't had the chance to get into S&G yet. Maybe next June, if time permits. Have you tried Lame Johnny Creek? I pulled a couple of nice specimens out of the road cut last June. Nice Fairburn type patterns.

Don,I miss a rock hunt on lame johnny 2 weeks ago but I saw two that were found 1 tennis ball size red with white center a true Fairburn found on the west side of hwy 79.It was on the Gallentine Ranch. Thanks All Roger
