Not really sure where to start, if I'm going to keep it brief anyway. LOL
I began beading 9 years ago after receiving a beautiful multi-strand necklace from my mother-in-law. I was oohing and aahing over it when my husband pointed out that she had made it. I began to analyze it and realized it was something I could do. It didn't take long for me to fall completely in love with beads and stones. I'm more partial to earthy things, so therefore I love just about all natural stones.
Most recently, in the last year, I began to become curious about wire and wrapping. I taught myself how to make rings, basic styles mind you, but I do appreciate simple things. In the wonderful world of Facebook, my horizons broadened and I crossed paths with Superior Agates in something called 'Link Love' and I feel in love with her wire wrapped pendants. Every post she put up made me want to learn more. One day she posted a link to her blog, which led me here.
I found Randy's tutorial and after looking it over time and again, I finally decided to give it a try. I still have so much to learn, but I think I can learn a lot here!!!
I have just in the couple of days contacted Marie/Superior Agates to thank her for her inspiration and she encouraged me to come here, so here I am!
Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble!!!

Welcome aboard. And now it begins. First a small tumbler. Followed by a larger tumbler. And then a saw and cabbing machine. Be warned that this hobby is addictive. Soon, like most of us, you'll have piles of rocks and a shop overflowing with equipment. But it's a great and interesting hobby, with loads of nice and interesting people to meet.
