My wife stopped by one of clubs older members house today to work on one of our clubs big show cases. After that was done, we went hounding in the back yard in the pouring rain. Here is what two six gallon buckets full looks like. Woody The lot except for the big African blur lace in the house. A closer view The jade Some of the pretties Unknown...anybody know? It is much more purple than this photo.

Not much help on the purple, but I saw some AZ material that was similar looking when I visited Jamie and Sheri. Beee-u-tee-full stuff. Bet you're glad you ran errands with your wife on that day! Jo

Woody, that purple looks alot like az pet wood. I've handled alot of it and the 3 fracture lines I can see and the chipped edges tell me it's pet wood. If that is the case, you have a very nice piece there. Looks like a good solid piece.
