Hmmmm, I have a box full of Microtechs that I acquired before the price went thru the roof, as well as a couple Benchmades. All production pieces, so no customs but quite a bit bigger scales on them, think you could work with something like that? Off the top of my head, they are all screw on scales (they are at home, and I am not). You do some amazing stuff on the ones you have posted, now I am getting the itch to add mine to the lot!

Rodney, 95% of the benchmade and MTechs have plastic composite handles with a pivot screw for the blade. I do not...change that....I WILL NOT drill holes for the pivot screws. Have tried and broke too many slabs. I have done a few M-Tech that have a seperate bolster in front that has the screw attachment and the scales are put on with screws and can be taken off and stone scales epoxied back on. Ken

Ken, Thanks for the honest info. Kinda figured that might be the case, but thought I would ask. Again, wonderful work... I think I do still have a couple Buck 110s laying around somewhere, maybe even a couple with the silver bolsters, may have to drag them out and send them your way once I find some suitable slabs...

I just love the way mariposite looks! Bejewelme gave me a piece of Mariposite and once I tried it, I had to buy some! It is soft but looks so pretty and takes a fantastic shine even though it is soft. That really turned out great! Fran
