so it's getting cold here. rinsing my rocks last night was painfully cold out by the hose. this is supposed to be my last batch before i go dormant for the winter....
but wait.
if i go to lowes and buy the right PVC fittings i can make my laundry room utility sink drain directly out to the side yard into the woods.... then i can continue to tumble and rinse in warm water in the comfort of my home without worrying about building up sludge in any of the home plumbing or septic tank...
my car is full of pipes...

No sickness there. Sounds like common sense to me. Ya gotta keep the tumblers going, Right?

Natural progression ;D
This must be your first winter or it would have already been done ;D
It is good to see you are comfortable in your commitment to speak of it openly on the forum ;D

Sounds like common sense to me, all those who don't seem to get it are sick.

Nope, not a sign of sickness. But, don't be surprised if your better half (if there is one) starts shaking their heads and mumbling!

my better half is the one that got me into this mess! she has been a rock hound longer than me...but she tends to like more the fossils while i like the shiny stuff. anyway she is supportive of this as it allows her to rinse her dusty finds indoors as well will do the deed tomorrow. PVC is cheap!

Somebody posted photos of this setup a year or two ago, so if it is a disease, it must be spreading. Chuck

Ha! I am using the same sink! And as of 10 minutes ago the plumbing is done. Ill let it cure overnight and tomorrow when its 30 degrees high outside ill be rinsing rocks in warm water in the comfort of my laundry room. My hands are thanking me already!

Sounds like a good idea to me! I'm rinsing things into a big plastic container and dumping it on my driveway. Pretty cumbersome!
