Here is a example of sylvinite from 3200 feet underground. With my new job I get to go on interesting field trips ;D

It is very soft. It's made up of sodium chloride, potasium chloride, and other minerals and impurities(commonly known as potash). It makes a great display piece. If I sell some, it will need to be bubble wrapped several times...lol. I do coat it with urithane or lacquer to keep it from atracting moisture.
