New to the forum. Hello. My grandaughter shows interest in tumbling. I have a 12# barrell on the AR12 can I use a 2 or 3# barrell on this model so she can learn and start with less material? I know nothing about this hobby but we are avid metal detectorists so we are always out looking for stuff so why not polish some nice rocks along with our coins? Any tips to get her started with this model is appreciated.

Thanks Mixer

Unless it is really old, there should be a slot for moving the axel in to use with 2 - 3 lb. drums. The Ar-6 can be used with one 3 lb. drum. The "b" uses different axles so you use a conversion kit (two axels and two drums). Of course, running 6 lb. loads on 12 lb. tumbler may cause your motor to last longer.

i have both the 12# and dual 3# thumbler tumblers. i got the 12# so i could do two 3# barrels when needed. both machines have the same size motor. charlie
