Hi everyone, Here is what I made as Christmas present for Ina. The tiny opal is Ethiopian opal which I bought from Munchen (rock fair) this November. The pietersite is cut from a pietersite piece Daniel (Deb) sent me a while ago. You could had forgotten by now about it Daniel, you sent it looong ago, but thank you very much. The outside of the stone wasn't very attractive so it stood untouched 'till a couple of weeks ago. I thought how to combine these two main materials and thought a black frame with a silver passe-par-tout would be fine. I used for this a black jade slab which I have from Snowdog. Thank you Dave! So I started to cut , grind, cut, glue, grind, glue, cut .... and so on, and this is what came out: the rough thing: And here's the cab - done: After this, I groove wrapped it, as you see here: The opal's glare is mainly blue/green, but in certain angles it also has red/purple colors: I hope Ina will like it. Ioana did. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Good grief Adrian! If you ever want a home in the U.S. you can come live with me. But you'll have to make jewelry like that for my wife as well as your own.

Thank you very much everyone! LOL, Curt, I live OK here, but I won't say no for a vacation Randy, if the wire wrapping proffessor studied my work for a few minutes, this is a great complement Jo, I thought too about Stone age industries, but I already submitted the sword a few months ago. Amber, glad to see you back again. Adrian

You are such an artist. It is beautiful. I'm sure all the slabs and rocks are saying I hope Adrian picks me to make something with.
