Cool egg. I've seen a bunch of t-eggs from Oregon, but don't remember ever seeing one with that light of a matrix color. That second pic is cool too. You can still make out the faces of the enclosed crystal. Looks to be quartz.

These Thundereggs come from one of the claims I own called Fallen tree. This specific egg does have a much lighter matrix than normal. I dug it this summer in a decomposed vein. For some reason the pocket was short lived and this egg shocked me for quality as the rest seemed to be very under-silicified and almost as if they got hot at one time?

The first Egg is about 2.5" diameter. The crystal at the bottom is roughly 1/2" long and maybe 5/16" diameter I'm guessing. Yes I'll for sure be doing more guided trips to the claims next summer. This past summer was fantastic. For my first year doing it, I was amazed on how much interest I had - especially when the Prineville Show took their field trip to the claim. This next summer, if all goes well I'm going to try to file a plan of operation on the claim and bring in a small backhoe and open Fallen Tree up. I've even tossed the idea to the Forest Service to allow me a plan of operation, and allow me 5 years to dig. Once the 5 years is up, I'll backfill the claim, reclaim the road and pit, walk away and lay the claim to rest Just an idea and we'll see what happens. Jason
