After reading of Chromenuts plight in another thread I could think of nothing better than getting total revenge. Needless to say after walking the streets for a while I certainly found what was needed. If the buggers bite you, bite them back And just so there is no doubt whatsoever ... Then there were the starters of course Followed by Yellow Coconut Custard ;D The black things are NOT Currents or Raisins

LOL, John! How do those spiders taste?
The flies on the custard had to be rushed before eating, or where they part of the menu?

LOL, John! How do those spiders taste? The flies on the custard had to be rushed before eating, or where they part of the menu? Adrian Hmmm, well, I think the snake tasted rather like a very well cooked pork chop. So well cooked it is nearly dried out. The Tarantula was of course very crispy on the legs, but the body was flavoursome. Hard to discribe, but it was surpringly meaty and nice. I'd certainly go for them again. more as a party piece than a regular meal. the frogs were difficult on the legs, and once you'd crunched up all the bones they too were very tasty, and also very meaty. you have to remember that they are all cooked and fried with many different spices and flavours that change the actual taste of the real thing. Would I eat them again? Oh, yes, most definately ;-) P.S I know when I reach further afield I'm going to get some real hard times and abuse for some of the things I AM GOING to eat. But, I'll face those situations as and when the time comes. Just watch this space, as they say

John:
Having traveled these parts, and tasted some of the culinary delights, you MUST have some Durian............and then describe the experience here for us all. BTW, I like Durian. Woody
