For something a little different, I thought I'd post some pix of a four winds peace pipe that I made for my husband. Due to the length and weight, it was very difficult to get decent pix of it so please bear with me Entire pipe: Hand painted "eagle" feathers, pine stem, buffalo hide, coyote hide and beadwork. Four Winds Bowl, Carved From Utah Catlinite: Top View, Showing Beadwork and Real "Scalp": The "scalp" is a large lock of my husband's hair. When I first met him back in '92 he had a mullet that went halfway down his back. I saved the hair when he got it cut a few years later. I dyed it with natural Native American pigments and added it to the pipe. Thanks for looking! Eileen

The pipe is fantastic, a photo of your husband using it would complete the picture What a beautiful bead - work, and those trees underneath the pipe are each of them deserving its own thread. Adrian

Adrian Thanks, Adrian! Actually, my husband doesn't smoke. We've tried the pipe and it works, but he's not a smoker. He just likes the Native American crafts I make and he wanted a pipe, so I made him one. It usually hangs on the wall of his office. The trees will get their own threads ;D I just don't want to spam everyone with everything all at once. There are 20 trees on that display case and many of them need to have better photos made before I post them. Thanks again, Eileen

What am I doing wrong, I love your trees Nancy Hi, Nancy! Thanks for your kind words I'm still in the process of designing the web site and haven't gotten a gallery installed as yet. I had thought about going the shopping cart/e-commerce route, but since these are "one of a kind items", I think I'll just have people email me if they see something they like. I should have something up later this week or the next. Eileen

Beautiful job on the peace pipe. I had a Native American rockhound friend in Washington who was making a peace pipe out of local jade that he'd collected. Unfortunately cancer got the best of him before he could finish it. Last I heard, his brother was trying to finish it. Don

Very neat! I love the painted feathers, and hubby's scalp gave it an extra special touch!

Thanks, everyone!
Nancy, I have a gallery up now, if you'd like to take a look. I don't have everything up, but I'm working on it. I'd sure like your opinion on the site navigation. WordPress isn't easy for me to work with. I prefer CMSes like Joomla.
