A combination of wire wrapping & necklace making with a little extra thrown to avoid two seperate posts. This one was for a young fella who wanted a Christmas present for his girlfriend. In addition to this he requested a jar of tumbled rocks for her son who is 6 & likes rocks. This is one of those Illinois locals I showed a few weeks back. Chert with a nice stormy night scene on the sea. The pictures are ok. Much nicer in the hand!! Hard to take of pic of this one. Something a little bit different. The only rocks in this one are the little tumbled bits of clear quartz in the pendant. This was done with polymer clay. The necklace is glass beads. Thanks for taking a peek!! Donnie

Donnie, those are terrific - I love the last one! What is the inner part of the heart pendant? It looks like an intarsia of some kind. Is the bail polymer clay also?
Tom (wishing he had a little talent! ;D)

Tom, I used liquid polymer clay & embedded the quartz & a little vintage blue tile in the center. I would guess the tile is ceramic. It was with a bag of mixed stuff I bought from a bead store in N. Miami 15-20 years ago & who knows how old it was when I bought it. The outside of the pendant is regular polymer clay. I used one of those silicone heart shaped cupcake molds to pour the liquid polymer clay in to. Tom you do too have talent! You are doing very well with what you have been doing.

Very cool stuff Donnie! I love that 1st cab - Montana? Your creations with wire, stone, and beads are very inventive. The last one with the polymer is very creative too. I have some polymer clay that the girls and I are just starting to play around with. You've given me great inspiration.

Thanks ya'll!  When I first started with the polymer clay I was wanting to come up with some way to use it with the stones. Maybe making a bail or setting of some sort?? I will eventually go back to experimenting with it. Mainly I have been concentrating on improving my cabbing & wire wrapping. There is a time for everything!
