This picasso stone I wrapped in 20G round copper with 28G black colored copper for the weave. I made a few mistakes on this but am showing it anyway. Trust me, the swirlies are covering up a very ugly bail. The wire just wasn't co-operating this time. The bezel is wider on the right side than on the left and I tried an experiment to hold the stone in by adding a loop at the bottom of the bezel in the back, which just made a split in the bezel. I covered up most of these with the photo angles. It may look good, but it's not. No I am not showing the back. This one is better. I don't know what kind of stone it is. The photo doesn't show any of the glitter in it. Wrapped in 22G Argentium with 26G round for the spiral. Thanks for lookin. Amy

Hmm, I don't care for the black with the picasso stone. The 2nd one more than makes up for it though. That one's beautiful.

I'm with Nate on this one. The second one is real pretty. The Picasso is a pretty stone but the black weave with it is just too much. It's too heavy & overpowers the stone. The weave looks ok, but not with that one.

I guess it is all a matter of personal taste because aside from the mistakes that you pointed out, I find the black weave against the copper wire really accentuates the colors and the dramatic scene in the stone and makes it pop.
The second one is beautiful but I'm really drawn to the first.

I think they are both great. I especially like the second one. Intricate.

What I didn't like about the first one was I made the bezel too thick. It covers too much of the stone. I do like the color of the wire. I will probably scrap the wire and do that stone again. It just has too many mistakes. But then again that is why I made it with copper. It doesn't break my heart to scrap it. But I got in some good practice.
