Got a package of BO's that I got from eBay for almost nothing. I'm thrilled with them. The largest chunk is about 1.5" long, so that gives a bit of size reference for the photos. (I forgot to put a coin in the middle, and I'm too lazy to do it all over again!) Now, if I could get one of the resident opal cutting experts to come show me the proper way to do it, I'd be in hog heaven. But, there are a bunch of pieces for me to play with and figure it out, and like I said, they cost me next to nothing! Enjoy! Well, there they are. If there's a thread on here somewhere with something like a tutorial on cutting and polishing boulder opals, please point me to it - I need all the help I can get! Thanks for looking, Tom

Those really look pretty but I have no idea how to cut them. We have a bunch of experts here so hopefully they will pop on here and give some advice. Fran

I have no advice, but looks like you captured some fire in a few pieces, so a nice buy for sure.
