Donnie, if you go to Lowe's you can get brass wingnuts that won't rust. There is no fast way to drill. Ken

OK, thanks, I didn't know brass wouldn't rust. I thought stainless steel wouldn't rust too. Although, brass is probably cheaper! I actually used a diamond drill bit, a very small one.

The stainless won't rust either. Yep, drilling holes takes a very long time, I did three of them a couple years ago and haven't done any since. I have a nice Dremel, only used three times ;D

Cool gadget Donnie. The only thing that will happen is the stainless and the aluminum eventually will react and you'll get some corrosion between them (that may be what Ken was referring to). I would think the sea air would speed that process up, so it's probably best to take them apart to store them.

Tandl, that is agatized coral from central Florida! Ssexton, I used a very small diamond bit.

Great idea Donnie! I never have enough hands when I am working on something and that seems to get the job done! Fran
