I purchased a slab of Ted's Epidote/Quartz/Marcasite that he recently cut and showed in the slab section. This was used to make some pieces for Miss Abigail, who's turning 14 on Sunday. I have no idea how to silversmith, so I purchased some findings at Hobby Lobby. First is a simple ring with a very high dome cab glued on. This looks like a mushroom lol. The cab is about 1/2" diameter.  I also bought some bottle cap settings for a pendant. I thought this was a little funky and whimsical. I got a ball chain for her to wear this with. This cab is just shy of an inch - 25mm.  Thanks Ted for an awesome slab. This stuff was a pleasure to work, and polished beautifully! The little marcasite flecks add a bit of bling to the cabs too. I like them , Nate & I'm sure Abigail will too. I've never seen the bottle cap setting , It's nice I'm going to look for it.

I got the settings at Hobby Lobby. They were about $2.00 for a 4 pack! Certainly not heirloom quality, but fun.
