It's about 3 degrees out, but I still wanted to get something stone related done tonight. A quick groove on a cab was all the time I wanted to spend out there. This is the silver sheen obsidian cab I cut a few weeks ago. One side note I'd like to make is that I'm a little disappointed with the silver plated wire I bought at Michael's (I think the same is available at Hobby Lobby). It is coiled in a small (under 3") diameter, and I think in the process of coiling it this small, it has twisted. When I tried to set the wire in the groove, it wanted to go in with the edge first, not the side of the wire. I didn't have such an issue with it last week wrapping the last obsidian groove I did, so it's maybe just the circle magnifying the problem. It probably won't be an issue with regular wraps, but I still felt it needed mentioning. Thanks for looking... [glow=red,2,300]stay warm,[/glow] Nate

Hey that's what you get for linin in Wisconsin. LOL. Come down to Arizona. We've been around 50 to 60 in the daytime and 35 to 40 at night. Course it won't stay that way for long. Just thought I'd rub it in. Cause that's the kind of moo I'm in today. hehe
Nice cab. My rounds are never quite that perfectly round.

Thanks Ladies! I'd move out there in a heart beat, but family's all here. So we're kinda rooted down. Maybe in about 30 yrs when I retire! Sure would love to be able to ride my motorcycle year round though! BTW, the round is nowhere near perfect - the camera angle is very forgiving! Nate

You wrapped that beautifully. I love the shine . It shows off the back side of your pendant holder. Nate, do you straighten your wire out before placing it in the groove? It might help if you have a twisted issue next time.
As for the weather, the fridgid stuff is hitting MA. Might even dip to 0 sometime this weekend and if the wind blows it'll go below. Brrrrrr!

Thanks Marie!
Lori, I didn't straighten the wire because I figured I needed to curl it again to go around the cab. I did try gently twisting it to get it straight, and it worked somewhat. Next time I'll try straightening it out. Thanks for the tip, and the compliments.
