This is a small plot of one of my Bamboo in the summertime: The following pictures show it after an ice & snow storm: A few shots of some iced trees: Don Sorta practicing with both my camera & proper picture sizing & using PhotoBucket! ps: fran, if you read this, I tried to follow your advice about cropping & resizing in Microsoft Office Picture; is this better? Made an icy heap didn't it? It'll bounce back but that naked lady looks awfully cold.

It's like glistening quarts crystals in the sun. Beautiful.
I hope your Bamboo survives.

I'm with you, Paul. Although ice storms can be destructive & life threatening, they are also a source of incredible beauty. You're right, Curt, Bamboo is pretty resilient; once it frees itself from the ice & snow it should come back up. As far as that naked lady, she's always complaining: too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer Sitnwrap, as Curt said, it will bounce back. I've read that you shouldn't try to remove the ice, lest you break lots of the Bamboo; let it melt, it should spring back; in fact, a few already have. I am going out to get the tips worked up out of the snow on the ground, as they are frozen to it, and unless it warms up for awhile to melt the ground snow, they will be that way til spring!

Don, those are beautiful pictures! I think your photography and cropping are great! I think the Microsoft office picture manager works fast compared to trying to do it all on photo bucket. I have not traipsed all around our property yet. I am afraid to see what all has been damaged. A cypress right outside our garage door has two broken branches hanging to the ground. Our maples have lost some branches and worst of all, my magnolia that was beat up in the blizzards last year has a branch down. I need to get up close this weekend and see how bad it is. Now we have to brace for another round next Tuesday and Wednesday. I sure hope that storm passes us by! Fran
