My daughter and her troupe from Acrofitness performed last weekend at the UNC Men's basketball half-time show. Wish I'd gone but I had to work, so photos are from the wife... you can find daughter in there somewhere...
Their theme this season is the Wizard of Oz. Quite a cute performance, if you can get past all the athletics, the flips, cartwheels, and all that other gymnastic stuff. Amazing how healthy these kids are.

Oh I have hours and hours of videos, and thousands of photos. It's when the wife goes along with them that they sort of dwindle. I was for 3 years the team photog and cinematog...lol... each year they do a different theme. The group my daughter is a part of here is the Acrofitness Allstars, they travel the country performing at colleges and high schools promoting health and physical fitness. Their performances include tumbling, stunting, jazz and street dance, and cardio fitness. I've gone from shocked to mildly surprised with what this group can do. They are from 9 years old to 28 years old. Their performances include things like one armed pushups, aerial stunting, all kinds of wild stuff set to a musical theme.
First time I saw my daughter do a one-armed push-up followed by a finger-knuckle push-up I thought I was gonna pass out. I'm like, "that's my daughter???".
Funniest story was from three years ago. I was at the back of a gymnasium filming a performance. There was a row of 9 year old boys in front of me. The girls were doing a routine where the girl to the left bends at the waste, the girl in the middle is suspended with her hands on that first girls back, the girl to the right holding the center girl's feet. So the girl in the center is doing a one-armed pushup on the girl to the left's back while the girl on the right holds her feet at head height. My daughter was the girl in the center.
One of the boys in front of me leans to his partner and says, "man, check out that girl in the middle, she's hot". His partner leans over and says, "yeah, but with arms like that she could beat the snot out of you for saying that".... I let out a bark of laughter and both turned around, embarrassed. I didn't mention that the girl they were speaking of was my daughter.
My daughter hates when I show this video. Performance at UNCC Men's Basketball Half-Time. Girl that was supposed to be holding her up let go of her foot, she slammed down face first on the gym floor. Hairline fracture to the right arm.
Can't hear it all that well in this video, but the entire crowd let out a loud, "ooohhhh" when she hit the ground. Course she just jumped right up and kept on performing, came home with her right wrist about the size of a cantelope.
