Ah Ha! A fellow addict! Welcome! Always glad to meet another rockhound. If you've got questions, you've come to the right place. These r some of the nicest and generous folks I've had the pleasure of meeting. So, pull up a chair and make yourself at home. Once again, wecome aboard.

Thank you! I'm addicted to this board already, I can't seem to read enough! We are trying to get more equipment, he got some from his grandfather's estate a while back, but it's really old and we seem to need more I've been reading up trying to help figure out what we should get or build next. Luckily he is very handy and isn't afraid to build stuff. Looking forward to 'meeting' all of you! Tonya

Thank you all for the welcomes! my boyfriend is not very internet savvy, but I am and am doing all the research and stuff for us. I'm having a great time looking at all the wonderful creations you all have made and learning about the homemade equipment, how to fix the saw problems, etc. You all are a wealth of wonderful information! I'm very grateful that you all share your tips and all!

Here`s a free-b, The northwest is the largest outcrop of Basalt in the world, An a 50 mile radius around Prineville,Oregon is the largest outcrop of agate in the world.
Every river stream in Oregon has some kind of material for the ADDICTED rock hound to hunt for!

Welcome Tonya and Rocknrocks! I love collecting locally, the Pacific NW has some great stuff, in fact, so much that you can fill a bucket just beach combing or walking the river banks. I find quartz, agate and jasper without trying. ~Krystee
